On Tuesday March the 24th the Toronto Blue Jays were facing the Philadelphia Phillies.The Jays built a three-run lead on hits by Kevin Millar and Vernon Wells.The Toronto Blue Jays couldn't hold on to the lead.At the end the score was 7-6 as the Toronto Blue Jays bullpen couldn't contain the Philadelphia Phillies.Vernon Wells was 2-2 at the plate.The Toronto Blue Jays lost their game against the Philadelphia.

Earth Hour

On Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 8:30 pm it will be called EARTH HOUR. On this day we turn off the lights and any other electricity for 1 hour.EARTH HOUR asks households and businesses to turn off their lights and electrical stuff for 1 hour.I think Earth Hour is a great idea because its helping us to SAVE OUR PLANET and its going to help us stop GLOBAL WARMING.

I have not done this event last year but I will try to do it this year.I think this year more people are going to participate in EARTH HOUR.I think people should do EARTH HOUR because it only comes once a year.

Leafs vs Canadiens

Leafs vs Senators

On Monday March the 9th the Toronto Maple Leafs were facing the Ottawa Senators.The Toronto Maple Leafs got the first goal of the game.Then the Ottawa Senators scored 2 goal in the 2nd period.The score was 2-1 as the Leafs lost their 2nd game in a row.The Leafs couldn't stop Senators in Ottawa.Ian White had the lone leaf goal and Curtis Joseph got the start.Curtis Joseph finished with 24 saves.The Leafs did everything they could to tie the game in the third period but at the end they lost.

Raptors vs Jazz

The Toronto Raptors were facing the Utah Jazz on Sunday. The Toronto Raptors lost their fifth game in a row.Deron Williams scored 25 points and added 9 assists and Kyle Korver had 20 points and 8 rebounds of the bench.Chris Bosh led the Raptors with 30 points and 10 rebound and Andrea Bargnani had 20 points and 8 rebounds,as Toronto lost its fifth straight.The score was 101-109.The victory helped the Utah Jazz (40-23) to match their longest win streak in 10 seasons.

Toronto Maple Leafs Trades:

The Leafs traded F Dominic Moore to the Buffalo Sabres for a 2nd round pick in 2009. The Leaf also traded F Nik Antropov to the New York Rangers for a 2nd round pick in 2009 and a 2010 Conditional Pick .The Leafs signed Martin Gerber because Vesa Toskala would be out till the reminder of the season. The Leafs also traded D Richard Petiot to the Tampa Bay Lightning for G Olaf Kolzig,D Jamie Heward,Andy Roger and 4th round pick in 2009. The Leafs also signed Erik Reitz. All the trades the Leafs made were at the TRADE DEADLINE

The Toronto Raptors have signed centre Pops Mensah-Bonsu for the final 20 games of the season on Friday.He only Played three games with San Antonio Spurs, averaging 5.0 points and 3.3 rebounds.Two days after he was released from a 10-day contract with San Antonio.He is expected to be in the lineup when the Toronto Raptors face the Miami Heat.This is going to be the first time Raptors facing Heat, since they traded Jermaine O'neal and Jamario Moon to the Heat.The 25-year-old Mensah-Bonsu played in 12 game with Denver in the 2006-07 season, averaging 2.4 points and 1.8 rebounds.The Raptors needed a Centre after trading Jermaine O'neal to the Miami Heat on Feb 13
