Morning Star MUSTANGS BALL HOCKEY TEAM

On Tuesday April the 28th there is going to be a hockey tournament at Earnscliffe.The ball hockey team from Morning Star Middle school is going to participate in the tournament.Its going to be 4 on 4 and there is going to be lots of room to get open and there is going to be lots of shooting on net.I am looking forward to this HOCKEY TOURNAMENT.Last year the tournament was held at Rink City and also last year was when we came 1ST place in the hockey tournament.

Earth Hour

On Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 8:30 pm it will be called EARTH HOUR. On this day we turn off the lights and any other electricity for 1 hour.EARTH HOUR asks households and businesses to turn off their lights and electrical stuff for 1 hour.I think Earth Hour is a great idea because its helping us to SAVE OUR PLANET and its going to help us stop GLOBAL WARMING.

I have not done this event last year but I will try to do it this year.I think this year more people are going to participate in EARTH HOUR.I think people should do EARTH HOUR because it only comes once a year.

On Monday March the 9th the Toronto Maple Leafs were facing the Ottawa Senators.The Toronto Maple Leafs got the first goal of the game.Then the Ottawa Senators scored 2 goal in the 2nd period.The score was 2-1 as the Leafs lost their 2nd game in a row.The Leafs couldn't stop Senators in Ottawa.Ian White had the lone leaf goal and Curtis Joseph got the start.Curtis Joseph finished with 24 saves.The Leafs did everything they could to tie the game in the third period but at the end they lost.

The Toronto Raptors lost their fifth game in a row.Deron Williams scored 25 points and added 9 assists and Kyle Korver had 20 points and 8 rebounds of the bench.Chris Bosh led the Raptors with 30 points and 10 rebound and Andrea Bargnani had 20 points and 8 rebounds,as Toronto lost its fifth straight.The score was 101-109.The victory helped the Utah Jazz (40-23) to match their longest win streak in 10 seasons.

The Toronto Raptors have signed centre Pops Mensah-Bonsu for the final 20 games of the season on Friday.He only Played three games with San Antonio Spurs, averaging 5.0 points and 3.3 rebounds.Two days after he was released from a 10-day contract with San Antonio.He is expected to be in the lineup when the Toronto Raptors face the Miami Heat.This is going to be the first time Raptors facing Heat, since they traded Jermaine O'neal and Jamario Moon to the Heat.The 25-year-old Mensah-Bonsu played in 12 game with Denver in the 2006-07 season, averaging 2.4 points and 1.8 rebounds.The Raptors needed a Centre after trading Jermaine O'neal to the Miami Heat on Feb 13

Morning Star Ball Hockey Team

On Friday after school the Morning Star ball hockey team is going to face Darcel in hockey. Mr Murray picked the top 20 players in Morning Star that were good in hockey. There was a practice for the top 20 player on Wednesday and many people got cut on the next day. On Friday there was a pratice for the people who made the first cut. There were eight people playing in the exhibition game unfortunately only four people could of made it on the hockey team. There was only 14 people who made the hockey team.And YES I DID MAKE THE Hockey TEAM

Nba All Star weekend EVENTS

NBA All Star events happened in Phoenix. The first event was the Haier Shooting Stars, the team that won was the Detroit Pistons. The second event was the Play Station Skills Challenge, the winner of the Play Station Skills Challenge was Derrick Rose. The third event was the Foot Locker Three-Point SHOOTOUT, the winner of the Three-Point Shootout was Daequan Cook. The last event of all was the Sprite Slam Dunk, the winner of the Sprite Dunk was Nate Robinson. Nate Robinson tugged on Superman's cape.Nate Robinson beat the defending champion Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic.

Toronto Raptors have traded Jermaine O'Neal and Jamario Moon to the Miami Heats for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks.This is a win-win for both Toronto and Miami.Neither player has fit in with their new teams as well as they had hoped.Marion is in the final year of a contract that sees him bring home just over $17 million this season.
